HealthPark Medical Center Shares Lessons Learned

As we all know, Florida got hit hard from Hurricane Ian on September 28th, 2022.  This storm system came with extreme damaging winds as it hit landfall as a Category 4 Hurricane.  The devastating 150+ MPH winds destroyed many things in its’ path.  Luckily, the team at HealthPark Medical Center had spent “10 days prior” preparing for this.  This included, according to HFM Magazine, “assessing its fuel situation, moving in supplies, clearing storm parking lot and rooftop drainage systems, and staging materials that would be needed to speed the repair of broken windows, water leaks and other problems. Construction work was shut down, dumpsters emptied and loose materials securely stowed.”
